Koh phi phi suitable for family?

Featured Replies

Good morning.
Can anyone please help me
I am thinking of going to Koh phi phi late in the year for about a week but I have been warned that its full of drunks and wondering if it would be suitable for a family?
Thank you

No worse than any other tourist town that attracts the bar flies.

But Phi Phi does attract a younger back-pack set. Book one of the better quality hotels and you will have not have any problems.

thank you very much,,,cheers

I like to go there on occasion with the kids. Nice scenery, and if good hotel with pool a good place for 3 nights or so.

I have been there 10 years in a row for diving.. We stay at Ohi Phi Island village, great resort and perfect for families!! I avoid the town as the resort has everything I need... great food, breakfast is awesome.. pool is very nice, beach is great for kids very shallow and gradual depth...

koh phi phi, is ok for family, but i would think 4 days is maximum--gives enough time to explore  some neighbouring beahes..

I think there are better alternatives nearby. If you fancy islands and beaches, might have a look at Ko Lanta

How old are the kids? Why not spend a few nights there and as mentioned above at Koh lanta, I believe there is a boat direct from Phi Phi

I never noticed bad behavior by the "drunks'...oh wait I think I may have been drunk to :w00t:
