Good question. Try presenting some that make prosecution seem viable.

Is only prosecutable conduct  ojectionable to you, everything else goes?

Sorry, no.

Following the news in a few other languages, the whole world is laughing at the USA for its president.

Kim Jong Un isn't laughing. Neither is president Moon in South Korea, who thanked Trump for helping get NoKo to the bargaining table.

First of all I don't agree with you, second of all this is about Giuliani's statements on the hush money. You're off topic.

You're the one who said the world is laughing. Are we not free to rebut claims made? But don't worry, your concession is noted. Let's stay *on-topic* (wink wink).

So.....

Hush money was paid to keep quiet about a ten year old extra-marital affair a few weeks before an election.

But, it had nothing to do with the election.

Actually, it's quite easy to defend. First off, you can't just stroll into court and declare that since liberal *fact checkers* declare Trump has lied 3,000 times, he should be convicted. You have to make your case. Honestly, you don't seem to have even a rudimentary understanding of the facts or evidence needed.

In fact, anti-Trump obsession has made it even easier to defend. You people have come up with so many accusations of sexual impropriety, it makes it far easier to believe Trump would have made this arrangement whether or not he was running for office- if not having done so more than once already.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Surely you can see this, no?

????.... regards understanding evidence needed. I think comey understood this requirement.... but someone “obstructed” his inquiry by taking away his powers to investigate.

i also thing mueller et al, have an idea about evidentiary requirements, possibly beyond your knowledge

I’m always reminded of Jim Jeffries pre election joke.... “part of me says bugger it.. let’s do it ?????”.... and now....every comedian in the world is thanking their god for four years of continuous employment.

Is he guilty of lying on a regular basis , yes , no amount of childish partisan hogwash diminishes that fact. Did I make any comment on the legality of this particular case , no , so what are you responding to , the statement that he is a proven liar lol

Yes, in the home of the gutter press ( UK ) the media are also cranking out anything that is anti Trump, But I never said the UK media was "sane" either.

I was in the UK when the HS resigned, and she didn't resign because of a "single lie". I suggest you do some research into the actual reasons for her resignation. She may not even have lied, when it comes down to the facts.

If politicians had to resign for lying, there wouldn't be a single one left.

Given I live in the UK rather than just holidaying I expect I have a rather better handle on domestic news than you but hey lets not let common sense get in the way of partisan bias.Im sorry that you dont seem to grasp the fact that the British 'gutter press' rather gives the lie to Trumps claim that he is a singular victim of a witch hunt , intelligence is rarely a virtue of those who idolise clowns.

Red meat for TDS sufferers.

TDS - I had to look it up "Trump Derangement Syndrome", right under "Total Dissolved Solids".

I wonder, is he the only President that caused a syndrome..., in any case it's an achievement.

No campaign money was used. Can just as easily be hush money so that his wife wouldn't find out. Speculation unless you know Trumps mind at the time.

Oh, and has Trump ever paid hush money prior to being a politician? If so then he has a free get out of jail card in those payments.

Yes, I dispute your take on this. Trump has been in the public eye for decades. You cannot read his mind, though I know some people think they can. In order to prove your case, you have to give evidence of what Trump was thinking. You also have to stare down the fact that there have been little to no stories like this about Trump before he got into politics. Logic dictates it's likely because other payments were made. Of course, you can also declare that Trump has never done anything like this before.

Either way, a person in the public eye is likely to make similar arrangements whether or not they are running for office. Now hopefully, you can do something better than repeat "liar". While it does look kinda cute to read, it doesn't work as a substitute for actual substance.

Trumpy thinking?!? :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

The biggest <deleted> in the universe is fornicating left and right, and denying every truth.... Disgusting and setting america's moral values at an absolute depth!

The pay off came from the Trump Campaign Finances:

Come back when you have a better excuse for the liar in chiefs lies.

Hint: Don’t rely on Fox for your excuses.

The payment was legal.

A campaign expense is defined as a payment that would only have occurred because of the election. Trump can show that he's been making these sorts of payments before. That day in court will be entertaining as hell - can you imagine him bringing a list of hookers he's paid off to court.

So - as this is a normal payment for him - it can't be proven to be a campaign expense. Similar things - buying yourself a suit to look good on the campaign is also NOT a campaign expense.

But the most important thing people are missing here. It's a misdemeanor anyway. So whilst those with Trump Derangement Syndrome are hoping this will be enough to oust him, it won't.

The money was paid from campaign funds therefore it has to be declared and fully accounted.

It was hush money paid to a lady of the night for services rendered to a depraved overweight draft dodging liar.

Simple really

Fake fact.

The money was not paid from campaign funds, even the looniest of the left leaning 'news' outlets (CNN) haven't claimed that.

Even if the funds came from Trump personally, if he paid to benefit his campaign he has to report the payment. Trump didn't and publicly stated he didn't know anything about the $130,000 payment.

What's not so simple is that Giuliani needs to be careful not to be so influenced by Trump to become a co-conspirator and engage in obstruction of justice with Trump to conceal the truth about the payment with the knowledge to protect Trump from a federal crime. Giuliani needs to refrain from interviews to voice his personal opinions while the case is before the court. He needs to act as Trump's attorney and not as his spokesman!

This is not true.

Campaign expenses are those that would ONLY have been incurred in the process of the campaign. So if Trump says he'd have paid this whether there was a campaign or not (as he has before), then it does not have to be reported as a campaign contribution/expense.

Otherwise, you could argue that every sandwich, haircut, holiday benefited the campaign. Y -  could argue that ANY money a politician spent from the time of the campaign starting was a campaign expense - after all, anything you eat gives you energy and you need energy to give a speech.

There is a line - and it's not where you imagine it is.

Incorrect.

All that happened here is someone went through the documents filed and tried to find payments adding up to almost $130k.

They ignored a whole bunch of other payments that takes the number way above that.

If you look at the disbursements here: https://www.fec.gov/data/disbursements/?two_year_transaction_period=2016&data_type=processed&committee_id=C00580100&recipient_name=Trump+International&min_date=01%2F01%2F2015&max_date=12%2F31%2F2016

You can see there's loads of them. So finding some that equal $130k isn't a shock. What is a shock is that some people are naive enough to think it's some sort of smoking gun.
