I went to B Quick this morning to change the spark plugs and oil/filter.

They don't have the special tool needed to remove the plugs.

So I went to the Nissan dealership, rather reluctantly as they seemed incapable of servicing the air con last time I went.

They took three hours, without exaggerating and now I am wondering WHY it took so long. I paid ฿2400.- for the pleasure and decided not to get the oil changed today.

Is this normal? I am more worried by the time it took than what it cost me.

I'm learning stuff all the time, any hints?

Were they working on your car for 3 hours, or is that just how long you had to wait? I might wait a couple of hours to get my Mitsu serviced, but the actual time spent on the truck is probably 20 minutes.

THREE hours to change the plugs! I'm missing something....

3 hours for spark plugs is a bit much, but it might have been a bit of work to access them.

I'm curious as to your air conditioning problem and how you managed to get it fixed.

I also have an Almera with AC problems and I've taken it to a private shop and the Nissan dealership.  The private shop was unable to fix it, the dealer first called my wife to say I didn't know how to operate the system and it was working fine (haha), then when she explained the details of the problem they tinkered about with it and made it work slightly better (for free).

Clearly much more to this story than what is being told.

Changing spark plugs doesn't take 3 hours and also doesn't cost even near 2400 Baht

This might go someway to explain.
