Dear All

Im looking to add a modern Pergola or Sala to my Garden Area in Pattaya.

I was quoted a 5500 THB per sqm by my Village Sales Staff which seems over the top for a bit of metal, concrete and workforce.

The one in the attached picture measures 5 meters x 3.7 meters equals roughly 102 thousand Thb.

It includes the SALA and installation of it (including the grey socket)

Anyone has an idea where to get this cheaper?

Any helps is much appreciated, thank you!

I would check at Home Pro, they had some nice modern looking metal pole units with either a hard plastic or sliding canvas roof

Anything with wood here in Thailand is eventually going to attract the termites

I think it depends a lot on the wood.

Even cheap wood lasts a long time if treated.

Now that is one of the better phrases I have heard recently...

I'll be using that in various scenarios in Thailand, from now on..

x2 on the great phrase. Right up there with "stopping for red lights shouldn't be optional".

However, it has been found that subcontracting projects out can have "proportionally increased hassle" also. Or maybe that would read proportionally increased stress.

I also agree it's a nice looking unit for the price. Wouldn't mind one myself.

Samsung99 - I like the look of 'The Pavillion' model that you've shown - do you have a link to the manufacturer's website or details of a supplier in Pattaya?

A bit late my update but here we go: My pool is almost finished and I was ready to buy from the developper. Unfortunately he  just increased the price to 180'000 thb saying the original quota was for a more simple modell....

I would be willing to pay in the range of 120kTHB-140kTHB (all included), but 180kTHB is just to much. So I'm still looking for a potential construction company.

Will keep you updated if I find a solution....
