Windows/software Updates

Featured Replies

I'm wonderin'...if I am prompted to update a program already installed on my computer and do so, will all the other installed programs automatically update to accommodate the updated item? Fer example, I was prompted to update Java software to enhance media retrieval...I did so an' now there appears to be a problem...the prompt was a Sun Microsystems prompt so I believed it to be legit.

any advice?...the Windows XP auto update facility is enabled...
