I have never seen such a waste of police resources, get immigration officers to do it. Also one can't help but feel it has truly become a police/military state with all these uniforms doing house to house checks.

If they only rent a few rooms--I forget the number--small guesthouses and shophouses with a few rooms on the upper floors, for example, are exempt from having a hotel license.  It's in the Hotel Act.

Less than 5 rooms and less than 20 people

Why not make a crackdown on the taxi cheats refusing the meter, the bag snatchers, the farangs who fight on the streets, the agressive lady boys or the drug peddlars and perhaps those pumping sewage into the sea ? ?  ?

..... and many many more, guess they like the easy way

They have to start somewhere  but they do not have to finish there.

Will you be chasing them to go after the rest?
