Video: Drunk as a skunk! Seventy year old man on the wrong carriageway hits motorcycle

Untitled.png

Footage from Khon Kaen shown on Thai TV showed a 70 year old man driving on the wrong carriageway.

He sideswipes a motorcycle then careens over to the correct side.

A citizen's arrest is made by a fellow driver who said he had been filming "uncle" for three or four kilometers.

Uncle is somewhat paralytic.

When told he was on the wrong side of the road he counters in the dialect of the drunk:

"Why do you say that?"

"Lung Mao Laew! ("You're drunk!") says the Good Samaritan.

"I was going straight," replies uncle.

The footage has helped Chumpae police get to the truth of the matter.

Uncle is now in custody.

The presenters on TNA MCOT managed a few chuckles as they related the story.

Ouch!

That's on highway 12, about 20 km from our place (not near Khon Kaen city).

Now you know why I am scared to drive here.

Just think what could happen if such a drunk as a skunk drives in the night without lights.

"Lung  KEE Mao Laew! ("You're an alcoholic!"(already)

I hope that I never meet him "on the road."

The other thing that amazes me is the fact you had a perfectly straight road & the motor cycle rider that got hit could not see him soon enough to move to the left
