A 1925 NUT,Newcasle-Upon -Tyne,made in Newcastle,this engine they made them self's 698cc OHV ,almost the same as the JAP engines ,

One NUT motorcycle won the 1913 Junior TT and an  eye-catching exhaust system.

Like a lot of bikes manufacturers  at the time,with the depression, they closed in 1933.

This beats them all.  Imagine taking your trail bike up to the lake to ride around and you happen upon a volcanic mountain that just exploded.  He was going to ride around Spirit Lake in Washington state (USA) when Mount Saint Helens erupted.  Fifty-seven people were killed; 200 homes, 47 bridges, 15 miles (24 km) of railways, and 185 miles (298 km) of highway were destroyed.

My Thai brother in law is a bike mechanic here in the States.  He got a deal on a Honda CBR250R recently.  About 4800 km on the odometer, looks like new in the pictures.  I'm not sure of the year.He might have had to tinker with it a bit and get a new battery. He paid $200. US.  Looks like  this:

This one was the 1976-1980 modal,I can remember reading a road test in Bike magazine ,the guy said ,he got on it ,then had to get off it to start it ,the kick-start is on the left-hand side ,

I knew a couple of guys who had them ,one guy was going to the Ise of Man TT on one,the day before he left he serviced the bike ,changed the spark plug ,went from Nottingham ,to a week in the Ise of Man and back no problems. 

What let them down was the styling.
