Any good recommendation for a dog hotel here in Phuket???

It's only from Saturday morning(may be Friday evening) until Sunday early evening.

For 2 dogs: Very gentle Rottweiler and female Boxer.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Gerd

My buddy used a service provided by a local vet in Patong.. If I see his GF I will ask her who it was.. They were happy with the service and treatment..

Just a thought Gerd...

The Dog Parlour in Centrals car park ?

Maybe they can help or at least give a contact ?

There's a dog training school which boards dogs on Koh Sireh. It's a long trek but it's the only boarding kennel which doesn't keep your mut caged for the duration of it's stay. Anyone thinking of opening one up near the airport should do very good business.

Thanks for all your replies!

Dog school in Kho Sire I know already, don't like them, sorry.

Found a good one near Land&House, single rooms with airc., but fully booked.

Wife is still running around this morning to find a good place but nothing so far (dirty, to small, only small dogs accepted, scared of a Rotti etc.).

Looks like we have to stay here......

Good idea with a dog hotel near the airport!!!

Wish I could babysit Gerd. Would love to spend some time with Max! But I have too many furry creatures myself.

Gee could have a lot of fun with this one BUT.... :o

I'm really a very nice Duck..

Sure you could LBD. :D My little ones love Chickens and Ducks. They would make you feel most welcome :D

Seriously though it would be great if there was a good dog/cat sitting service on the island. Especially for those Visa Runs.

I asked and found out that where my mate left his puppy / young dog was not a place that would do longer term stays.. Worked out for a couple of days..

Sorry mate.

Sorry mate.

Thanks anyway!

It would have been only for 2 nights. My wife checked out a couple of vets/dog hotels.

But all places where she has been are not up to her/our standards:

Dirty, too hot, unexperienced staff who handle the dogs etc.

So we did not go and stayed home in Phuket with our dogs.

OK, why would it be a good idea for a dog hotel near the airport?? (Maybe I'm being thick here, but do that many Phuketians have dogs and want to travel??

My thoughts are its a niche that isnt catered too.. Problem is at the first sign of it doing well someone would copy it.. Low capital investment etc..

hi Gerd,

found the place yet? pls keep posted, cos i'll have the same prob in july. probably hiring an in-house babysitter is a better way.
