Police in Ubon are hunting a man who threw knives at two vehicles - one driven by a policeman - after threatening the occupants.

Both times he was shown on dash cam footage stopped in front of vehicles. After threatening the drivers he hurled knives.

The first incident was on August 3rd. He ended up throwing a chopping knife at the cop who couldn't catch him.

In the second he claimed he had been hit by Pratchaya Samang-in. He said that the man tried to get him out of his vehicle but after he saw that he had a knife he called 191.

When the man heard the sound of an emergency vehicle he raced off after hurling a knife causing damage.

Police said that a summons was served at the house of the man's mother but he wasn't there.

The hunt continues.

Thaivisa notes that though not reported as such on MCOT it appears he may have been feigning accidents to get money - without success.

Well at least he concerned enough to keep the traffic flowing before whipping out his chopper.

This clown needs taken down, should have been done during the first incident.

Sadly the police captain was just a wimp who failed to do his duty.

The cop didn't make the slightest efforts to catch him.
