Setting Up 3BB Fibre Optic in Long Term Stay Villas Requirements / How Long ?

Featured Replies

Hi ,

I'll be moving to a place somewhere in Rawai, and wanted to know how long it takes and what is required to get a new installation of Fibre Optic internet in a long term villa that i will be renting ? Also, if there is a upgrade to an exiting line, any idea on how long that will take ?

I'd be taking the 3BB Fibre Optic internet package as i think it's the best deal on the island.

A few questions..

  • What documents may be required from me as a tenant
  • Do i  need a written letter, or some permission document from the villa owner.
  • How long does it take to setup when its a new installation
  • How long does it take to upgrade an existing installation

Thank you.

A foreigner has to sign a one year contract, at least that's what they told me a few years back, so I had my Thai wife sign up with her Thai ID. But for you, you'll need a copy of your passport ID page and a one year contract. I'm not sure what else. Don't know how long installation takes, call them! They are usually pretty fast on install usually!

Thanks guys, i actually checked out AIS after finding 3BB and found that they have a way better range of service available and I think i will likely take one of their packages.

Thai ID or Passport, and 1 year contract, ok fine - will check it out and post back here some information how long it actually took so it can help others.

Thank you.
