Medical insurance in Thailand (again?)

Recommended Posts

OK there must have been loads of posts on this topic, but a search does not bring very much up, so here goes (again?).

I am 69 years old and decided again to take a look at buying medical insurance in Thailand. Several times in the past the info and forms have really put me off. Although I could afford to pay for most treatments myself, I want to leave some cash behind in my will. I am quite healthy, apart from an enlarged prostate (non-cancerous), take care of myself and have regular checkups but you never know what is in store and cancer and accident treatments can be very expensive. I am not eligible for NHS treatment in my home country (UK).

Can anyone recommend a medical insurance policy in Thailand for in-patient treatment only? I understand that BUPA does not insure over 70's unless they have been insured with them from before the age of 60, but that needs clarifying.

Thx for your help.
