4wd hire in Udon Thani

Featured Replies

Help please have friend flying into Udon that wants to hire 4wd to drive around the north for a few weeks then return the vehicle to Phuket.  Any help would be welcome please ?  Contacts ect.....

Depends what sort of 4w driving you want to do. Doubt you will get a jacked up diff locking bush basher but you won't have much trouble getting a Fortuner or Hi-Lux or similar. Biggest problem would be the Phuket drop off. There is Hertz rental, I think? Still at Udon Thani airport they would probably be flexible about where you return the car I don't think any locals will.

Yes and? I know leks and as I said you can probably get 4wd for hire in Udon. Will leks let you drop the car off in Phuket? Maybe reply to the OP he is the one who is asking. Cheers.

The link posted is Lek car rental is only for local rentals in Udon.

I tried Budget, Avis, ThaiRent and Hertz. Only Hertz would allow me to select another location for return. No pickups shown on Hertz but they do have SUV's available.

Why would you need 4 wd up there anyways, unless it real

Rural and even then a waste, my daughter lives a real rural area yup there , never a problem
