System restore failed to alleviate the issue.

P.S.: Skype no longer asks or allows to stop the updating. And Skype for Business is so bad, words fail me. (Beware, if a company wants to use that for a job interview).

I just uninstalled the 'new' Skype and put the old one back. It still asks if I want to update/grade <deleted>-up, my Skype, but I say to the computer 'NO'.

There are websites where you can download older versions of most apps.... do a search
