I tried it to see if I could watch the tour championship this morning and it is only buffering.. is a VPN required?..

Thank you.

Same here, only buffering.

Edit; When I tried it in IE I got a few seconds of broadcast between buffering brakes.

Watched the Tour Championship about 2 hours ago and it was fine and clear with no buffering ? I am in Nonthaburi and on TOT fibre 50/25.

Which browser are you using and are you using a VPN?

I tried to watch it on Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, Chrome was only buffering and on Mozilla Firefox I got about 5 seconds then an advert then buffering.

I am in Sai Mai with AIS and no VPN.

Just for your kind info the "Golf Channel" has been having several problems with their link over the past 2 days, including this morning.

With my android box I have about 5 different options of accessing this channel and all are having problems getting a secure connection without freezing after about 60 seconds, hopefully it will get back to normal soon ???

Same here, NBC Golf and Golf channel iffy - but now working non stop for over an hour. Sky Sports Golf is OK all day. Depends on provider as usual.

I've decided to go with the Sky Sports one week pass for about 13 Pounds through Now TV. Hopefully I'll be OK with my 3BB 100/30 package here in Pattaya.

Have to use a VPN with a Brit server though.

Just found out the Now TV blocks VPN addresses so can't watch it. Wonder if Golf Channel/NBC is doing the same?

PS. Is there any way to fool VPN detection tools?

Strange. I just tried using Firstone TV again and now it's running better than the first time I tried it but with the occasional long buffering brake. I guess it's the best I will get.

https://www.firstonetv.net needs flash player activated and, with the latest version of Chrome, flash needs to be turned on everytime you want to use it with a different website. And, with some channels on this website, they appear to request two stages of activation to become enabled. Unfortunately, flash player gets turned off after the first stage so it becomes impossible to watch. I was trying to watch the MUTV channel.

I also tried using EDGE to watch it but https://www.firstonetv.net appears to recognize the browser and puts up a message saying they won't allow that browser to be used.

I've never needed a VPN to watch firstone in the past but did try it with a VPN. made no difference.

Just been enjoying the Golf channel via firstonetv and certainly watchable. A slight lag on occasion for a few seconds only at times.

Thank you to the TV member who posted that.

The stands and player walk-out layout for the first tee looks phenomenal with 7,000 seats.

BTW - Just was watching an interview, and didn't at first recognize Justin Rose without a cap.

I adjusted the settings in the player to 1080p and now it is streaming via Chromecast to the big TV. Perfect picture, no buffering. I'm on True Fiber 100/30. Less than 2 hrs to go.....

Did this work for you? I'm considering this too, also because of F1.

I am using a VPN.

BTW https://www.firstonetv.net/Live/United-States-(USA)/Golf-Channel-44 is working perfectly at the moment, but golf hasn't started yet and viewer count is still low.

Nope, the "Now TV"website you have to go through detected my VPN and wouldn't allow me to buy the package but I am happily watching Ryder Cup for free on "https://www.firstonetv.net/Live/United-States-(USA)/Golf-Channel-44" with few disruptions.

Thanks to "gkroo" for the tip!

Same here, I wasn't able to complete payment. Not sure why.

Because the website can detect the VPN you're using so assumes you're not in the UK and they don't have broadcast rights outside of the UK.

For some UK channels you can click on "countries" the top left hand side of firstonetv & you will find a multitude of countries & TV stations, if it prevents you from any station then become a member for free and then sign in to access these.

it stopped working for me, had to switch to NBC and that channel simply won't work for me, lots of lag, buffering etc

Will someone please take my money and show me the Ryder Cup, this is stupid
