Sanook reported that a police captain in Mae Sot, Tak had won first prize of 12 million baht in the 16th September drawing of the national Thai lottery.

Pol Capt Jaksiriporn Duangthaworn (whose surname means lucky forever) was spending most of his windfall on his family, children and a business venture as well as making merit.

But he didn't forget those under his command at Booth 406 patrol HQ - everyone got a gold necklace to share in their chief's good fortune.

Pattaya Ladyboys Leaving in Droves for Mae Sot

The exodus is apparently due to the good fortune of the Mae Sot cops who each received a gold chain. It is speculated that Pattaya's ladyboys are eager to apply their well-honed snatching skills on the unsuspecting future victims.

Give them all a gold necklace so that they become implicit in the event that the ticket is fraudulent.
