Auto disconnect DTAC data service by time? Android 8.

Featured Replies

Is there a way to set my Android 8 phones (no root) to turn off data connection at a certain time of day?

Reason I ask is I sometimes sign onto DTAC 24 hour package for data (10mbps unlimited) that costs 39THB, but then forget to turn off data when it expires so get charged up to another 49THB for wasted data afterwards.

In past apps like Automatit or Tasker might have handled this, but I understand more recent Androids make it more difficult and when I looked the apps don't have options to turn off data.

Any ideas please?

I'm not sure if that's possible, but there are other solutions.

You might want to take a look at DTAC Plearn package. It's a very slow internet connection, which costs 50 baht per year.

When your faster packet ends, plearn packet takes over and you don't have to worry about extra costs.

Excellent, this will help. Thanks.

I use tasker to turn off data when my phone is connected to wifi, works well. Im sure you can set a timed profile to so the same thing although not so sure it will work without root.

Yes, on my non rooted phone there is no option,

I signed up for DTAC Plearn as suggested. It costs only 30THB a year and seems designed for this problem, so worth it as I blow 49THB every day I forget to turn off data. If your balance drops to zero THB need to register again for service.
