Seeking Manicure/Pedicure recommendation

Featured Replies

What place can you guys recommend (your personal preference) to get a nice manicure/pedicure in Chiang Mai?

I'm looking for something that is a good balance quality and price-wise, somewhere where they use high quality (clean tools).

I've never had either a manicure or pedicure, but it would be nice to have the info. for when I gotta shake hands with the rich and famous.

There are good nail salons all over Chiang Mai.  What part of town?  Are you male or female?  Interested in exotic nail art or just a good, clean mani/pedi?  This is one of areas where Chiang Mai excels.  Even Hubby goes once a month for a mani-pedi to stay well groomed.  Easier than cutting his own toenails and trying to keep the callouses at bay himself.

Thank you for your reply Nancy. I am a male. Much like your husband I would probably just want a simple service. I am looking for the best bang for my buck, but a place that uses clean tools and is known for at least okay-ish service.

I'll be willing to travel anywhere in Chiang Mai since I'm a very mobile 30 + fella. I'll probably be living closer to Nimman though.

I've used both Nice Nails and City Nail and found them to be good.  Hubby likes Two-Be nails, a very small shop next to the Shell Petrol station, on the KSK side.  It's a one-woman operation and she does a thorough job.  I'm not thrilled with her choice of varnish colors and the fact they haven't changed in eons, so I bring my own, if I use her, but sometimes I go to a trendier place if I want something artistic.  But, the gal who own/runs Two-Be (or is it Be-Two, can't remember) does a better mani-pedi from a grooming standpoint.

I was in KSK yesterday and there is a place on the third floor that has a Mani + Pedi for 300 Baht. The shop looked a bit run down though.
