I've been trying to find a source of Adalat CR 30 for a family member. It was until quite recently widely available in Bangkok but now can only find Adalat CR 60. The UK doctor who originally prescribed doesn't advise splitting because CR would be compromised.

Any kind person to advise?

Adalat is the registered brand name.  The active ingredient is nifedipine.  If you go to Fascino or similar they stock it as Nelapine and it is quite cheap.

I was on Adalat in Singapore and it cost a fortune every month.  When I came to Thailand I went to Fascino and asked for Adalat.  The pharmacist said Nelapine is a much cheaper generic brand.  I am on 20mg SR and a months supply (30 tablets) cost 105 baht.

If you are on HCTZ as well you can buy 25mg or 50mg tablets for 0.8 baht each.  I usually get six months worth in one go.

Hope this helps.
