Do Thais know about the blind spot?

So you verify there's no blind spot by looking for it in the mirrors?

easy to compensate for the expected blindspot(s) for both sides of car...

adding correctly placed Convex supplementary mirrors, to both sides, will do the job!

just makes sure to never use those useless Circular ones.

Place rectangular, wedge shaped ones to the inboard lower corner of the door mirror glass

The wedge shape of the supplementaries further assists against the blindspots.

If you see tha car that is behind you, in the door mirror itself only;  then you have total clearance for changing lanes

If you see that car in both the door mirror and the supplementary convex, then that car is not yet next to you, but there is still not enough clearance to be safe to change lanes

If you see the car only in the supplemntary convex, then the car really is next to you, and you would have hit it if changing lanes

silly round convexes don't have the 'wedge' feature

don't put it to the outer part of the mirror, as you obscure the majority of the main mirror's view

as seen below, the placing of the Round Convex is wrong! as it obscures the main mirror

Placing the Convex in the lower/inner area, uses that part of the mirror which isn't a critical view of traffic (of your own car's panel)

Of course not as how could you see a blind spot! ????????

I check at a selection of distances to make sure that I have complete rear vision that lasts, as a minimum, until my normal peripheral vision comes into play.

you seem determined to try to find something that has no need for existing, just learn how to eliminate it, instead of spending time trying to nit pick.

Thais have learned that they don't need to worry about the blind spot or ever check traffic beside and behind them when turning or changing lanes.  They have turn signals, which take care of everything.  They simply turn on the turn signal and then can do whatever they want without looking, because they believe they've done all they need to by turning on the turn signal.  I really don't know why they install mirrors on Thai cars!

You forgot that if they are on the phone that over rides everything...????

Not at all, but you did say "Looked in the mirrors" when I asked how you knew, which obviously wouldn't be sufficient to know it's eliminated.
