Bang Bang
I need a Mantoux test done in Bkk based on a prescription from a doc in India. He needs the result in order to start me on some medication available there. However, I didn't have time while in India to get this particular test done. So question: where can I get it done in Bkk at reasonable cost? Most clinics I assume will do it. It's not an uncommon test. But a call to Bumrungrud says that I need to see their doc first and then the test, total circa 3000b. Any suggestions where else to go? Thanks. Oxx
3,000 baht seems like a bargain compared with this: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/tuberculosis-test-for-a-uk-visa-clinics-in-thailand/tuberculosis-testing-in-thailand You might want to ask this lot how much they charge: https://www.thaitravelclinic.com/services-in-travel-clinic.html
Sheryl
Actually the test is rarely done in Thailand due to BCG vaccination. Mainly it is done as part of required screenings for immigration to western countries in which case they have specific hospitals that must be used and it is very costly. Besides the travel clinic listed above, contact https://www.medconsultasia.com/ and ask if they do it.
