Which terminal

Have friend coming from UK via Bangkok flight is a TG does that fly into international or Domestic terminal? I'm pretty sure its international but just making sure. Thanks.

Not necessarily,

If he or she does not have checked luggage he does not need to leave the airport via the international terminal and can use the domestic terminal in Phuket.

I do this often myself.

As i don't have checked luggage i removal the same flight sticker (which they give to you in Bangkok at the transfer immigration area) and leave Phuket airport via the domestic terminal, Immigration formalities are done in Bangkok.

If you have checked luggage you have to use the international terminal as your luggage will be delivered there and you have to pass customs then.

Yep! I have to pick up my dog in Bangkok usually and go through immigration there. Last time I checked our bags through. That was a pain! My dog arrived in domestic at Phuket and my bags at international! At least I could sent my wife to pick up the bags at international then pick up me and our dog at domestic. I guess next time I have to pick up all our bags in BKK and then check them back in so they will all arrive at the domestic terminal at HKT. It was easier when there was just the one terminal and two baggage areas near each other!

u always go thru immigration at ur FIRST point of arrival in Thailand.

Even if ur only transiting, there is a special transit immigration area which they will direct you to in Bangkok
