Me and a mate are going up to mekong river, in mukdahan, to do the triathlon in march 23rd/24/25th, thai asia championships ,,any one know of any good hotels other than the ploy hotel,or of any night life or bars,[might go earlier if so.and yeah we are to old mad aussies.

Dont expect any night life there, been there a few times and didnt find any,

I used to stay ploy palace,(if you stay there make sure you dont get the room where the girl got murdered) found a cheaper hotel not far from the river, sorry cant remember the name of it

Mukhadan,,, night life,,, now since SEZZO is downunder so is life,, but herd that there is few lads there and should have some nice pubs there, hotels cant help u there mate, there is few guest houses as well.

Try to enjoy silent and huble life style what Mukhadan offers, nice place

G'day Cat... Just remembered!!! The hotel is Submukdahan, i was there late dec, paid 500baht a night..

I fly on the 29 march, You never know, i might bang into you up there

been there once.. havent seen any night life except those in the hotels.. but then again... they sing Isaan songs.... i wonder will it be a hit....
