  • You'll be hard pushed to find a shopping mall anywhere in Thailand that doesnt have a Christmas tree ! or decorations.

  • Some of the decorations dont get it quiet right though, years ago I saw santa clause on a crucifix and a nativity scene with the 3 wise men in santa suits. I was seeing a girl who waied the xmas tree

For commercial reasons. Christmas is extensively promoted here; starting very soon and usually continuing until February. Sent from my SM-G930F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

Do they celebrate Loy Krathong, Song Kran and other Buddhist dates in UK or USA. So why should they do it for J C in Thailand?

Thailand celebrates everyone’s holidays as it is a great way to make money.

Christmas in bkk is especially beautiful

One thing that I do know, Tesco, Big C, T21 and all malls that In know will be playing jingle bells over and over and over and over and over again until March,  Drives me bonkers.  I came here, among other things, to get away from Christmas and I get it shoved down my throat even more than in the UK.  It will be bloody Easter eggs next!

Isn't Song Kran before Easter?

Depends on the moon apparently.  Easter depends on something Christian that I have no idea  about, or interest in
