Hi,

Is there anywhere to buy a very good quality 128 MB flash drive in C Rai.

I see that Lazada has Kingston but I do not know what model to order.

I use it for storing pictures and audio files.

I am guessing Kingston is the best but I am not sure.

What brand do you recommend?

Thank you very much...

Speaking from experience,  flash drives are ok for small data storage only.

Reason is, you can lose it faster than you can say cr*p.

Most are made in the same location and branded to the makers name.

The higher end class's ten or xc are stable. high speed and quality.

Remember that the pc or computer, or smart phone uses different formats, operating systems.

Kingston,  A data, SanDisk ultra. Brands are good.

The storage is going to be fat32, maybe exfat on larger files.

Price in Thailand is expensive.

I recently bought 32gb in the UK for £5. EBay.

Seriously consider a portable hdd.

You can pick up a small 500 gb for around 1000 baht big C.

I do use memory sticks, but they are volatile memory.

And the pc normally checks them every time you insert them.

Short term storage only...

Normally it's not good practice to point to typos.

But really: I guess you mean 128 gigabyte?

128 megabyte is for the museum.

I agree with the above, if its things that are important to you and you want to store for a period of time, consider the portable HDD option. The sticks are fine for rapid A - B movement and short term etc, up to you to assess how important the info is and for how  long you need to store it.

Seagate or WD 1 TB with USB 3.0 are available in the 2000 Baht range.

Question to the OP: what device (computer) you want to connect it to?

Does it have USB 3.x?

Does it have a built-in card reader?

Actually only about 1400 baht on Lazada - you can get the 2TB for 2000.  Have one of the 1TB and works great and very small footprint.

Had 2x WD 2 TB drives fail in three months.

All made in Thailand and big C stock.

Lost format.

Waiting for the replacement still from WD.

Warranty used to be 3 years.

Now 18 months on some products.

Obviously the quality is slipping.
