So I have an a very basic water well in my "hotel" bungalow property and would like to test if it's safe to drink and for guests bathe in. I do the water via a 4-stage water filter + UV radiation for drinking. I do not treat the water for bathing.

Is there a service here in Thailand that can analyze my water? I'm thinking along the line of mailing them a sample of my untreated & treated water?

I'm really concerned about drinking that water that can contain potentially hazardous chemical untreatable by a dinking water filter system.

Cheers!

I used this place to test my  water:

I don't remember all that it covered but you could email and ask them.

Just to be clear, this was for well/drinking water analysis? The test seems to be geared towards swimming pool water, and for instance doesn't seem to include any bacterial or pesticide tests. How much did it cost you?

On the website the test is marked as "temporarily unavailable".

I used a water testing site out of the east of Thailand when I had a well installed. I knew the water was horrid from the look and smell. This company specializes in water testing and selling filtration units. They preformed a very very basic test, if even that, and told me I needed this and that filters. I asked for specifics of the test but were given none.

If you can find a testing company that only does testing, and not selling, you might get a good test.

Is your water from a well, or from the city? Well water can contain any number of impurities. City water I think is decent, at least for showering and cleaning. Buying a 5 liter bottle of water is cheap. We get them delivered in Phimai for ten baht a bottle.

I don't remember the cost, it is some years ago.

Yes, for drinking water. But I was not looking particularly for pesticides. Rather iron, manganese etc. They tested a large number if things but I don't think pesticides were one.

Pesticide analysis requires very sophisticated laboratory equipment and very well trained staff. The sample preparation protocols in themselves are quite onerous. AFAIK, only the US, UK, Europe and Australia are at that level. Possibly Israel.

Most contaminants are removed by filtration and boiling. I simply boil water from the roadside RO machines.

If the OP is concerned about pesticides and other organic contaminants, an activated carbon filter would allay his concerns.
