I thought I'd post in Bedlam because I assume people have been around here long enough to know what the rules are.

Are we allowed to do it, has it been done in the past, and what are the consequences if any. I don't see the problem, perhaps mildly annoying to the person who you copied it from but thats about it.

I was thinking about stealing from seugha or libya115. Even terry57s impotent, lonely, pathetic little avatar crossed my mind.

I don't think there are any rules that concern "stealing" anothers avatar. Most people don't it that I have seen, but that could be because no one else likes eachothers avatars.

Why would anyone want to steal (copy?) anyone's avatar? Surely we all want to be a little individualistic?

I suppose etiquette would be a factor.

Also, mistaken identity, an avatar is often used as a quick way of identifying someone, would you like to be mistaken for someone else who has the same avatar...

Also, like someone said, individuality..

Mind you, an avatar that was used previously by someone should not be a problem.
