Depends how big the family is? Very vague question.

More info would be helpful, how many , ages, local use , travelling long distances regularly, budget? To buy or rent for a holiday ?

The more info you provide the better the feedback.

As said we need more information as  described in the above reply by CharlieH.

If you have a large family you would need a people mover, an MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) They range in price 650,000 for the seven seater Suzuki Ertiga to  about 1,400,000 for a seven seater  SUV. Then you have minivans Like the Toyota Innova etc

What is best family car for you , might not be best Family for someone else .

We need more Info.

Are you talking obese passengers or numbers...????

New-style Honda CRV.

Bought one a year ago as a family run-around.

Perhaps a little expensive to run but excellent all-round.

Just buy any decent pickup, amazing the number of people you can get in the tray.

Could you advise the best car for a big family?

We are just off with the family in the Isuzu to a beach in Krabi.

Honda B-RV seats seven. I bought an MG ZS this year, and looked at lots of cars, but my "family" is just the two of us. Mitsubishi has a brand new model - I forget the name - that seats seven as well, but it looks longer and higher than the B-RV.

So you wouldn't recommend the MG then?

Closed in people mover, not a death trap pickup.

UPD: My father recommended to think about buying of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Firstly, it has a large cabin. Judjing by the description, it contains 7 passengers least. Secondly, it looks amazing. Thirdly, this model comes loaded with an infotainment system supported by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Not bad combination, but it seems a bit overpriced, isn't it?

I'm very satisfied with the MG. My point was I looked at the Honda B-RV and decided we didn't need a seven-seater.

Single seater if you can find one..... no worries taking anyone anywhere. Never leave keys in car with fuel. With no fuel

no one will ask to use it.....
