The new defintion of football knowledge: Not saying anything that could upset (plastic) scousers and not making the ultimate error of calling 4th official 3rd official by mistake.

Chang...? The ultimate insult. That's it, I'm going offline.

I think the point is Firmino is a very un-Brazilian Brazilian player in the same way that Jadon Sancho could be said to be an un-English English player.

I am sorry that distresses you so much.

He will get the message eventually.

People thought I was kidding when I said he went missing because his Mother put the parental controls back on the PC.

……and the funniest thing of all is he still wastes his time quoting me for a response.
Talk about slow.

But it is a strength of the guy quoted below, a lecturer in Football Finance. That's 12.4m in addition to what you would have sold with Sancho AN Other on the back. I do agree that it will get you lot off the Glazers' case for a while whilst you ejaculate over the 2nd coming.???? Should increase the share price as well so a smart move by your benevolent ownership.

'United get 7% on a £60 shirt which works out at £4.20 per unit. The cost of Ronaldo is £12m transfer fee (minimum) plus wages of £20m a year. Total cost £52m over 2 years. The club would have to sell 12.4m additional shirts to pay for his recruitment.'

Don't quite understand you fixation regarding shirt sales. You think it stops there ?

And there is not just one version of Ronaldo's 7 shirt there are several, people will buy the full set ,then there are scarves, beanies, coffee mugs ,signed photos etc etc but more importantly Woodward is already stitching up deals for sponsors that want to be associated with the Ronaldo's second coming. All will be revealed soon.

We see parallels in other sports, sponsors love to be associated, and seen, with sporting stars as an example Emma Raducanu, previously unknown, just won the US tennis Open, in case you didn't know.     Her value has now skyrocketed into the billions of $'s sponsorships being thrown at her.

Sponsors even pay to be photographed alongside them.

Whatever we think of Woodward the guy has brought in millions to the club and covered the many transfer mistakes they have made. He will squeeze every bit out of the Ronaldo saga and that would have been the lever for the Glazers approving the deal.

So quote who you like, you are seriously lacking in vision, or is it just the usual pop because its MU ?

Laughable isn't it. He is actually trying to downplay the commercial benefit of Ronaldo to United.

No bud, my comment was purely connected to sales of MU shirts......the majority of which would have been purchased by your fans irrespective of the name on the back.

It is the team you support. You may have a favourite player but it is the TEAM shirt the vast majority of supporters want.

I mean I gave you a like ... But considering the ammunition you had to work with there, you could have done a bit better

It's an improvement on your general level of banter though

I have supported Manchester United since 1956 and since then I have read read all sorts of comments. slurs and praise over the years.

This post on the Manchester Evening News regarding the team's loss to the Young Boys is worth quoting here.

"If Matt Busby were alive today he would turn over in his grave"

???

Imagine your manager having to publically draw attention to your <deleted> support. Then your supporters club having to reproach the greatest manager in your history.

Awkward and cringe as <deleted>
