Give RR a 2 or 3 year contract and get back to playing as a team and not a bunch of talented, but uncommitted, indiviuals.

With all due respect Sparkles what has RR achieved with the team (even small signs of encouragement) to suggest he deserves a 3 year contract?

What will be Ralfy's first signing? Im going for Julian Alvarez Argentine professional footballer who plays for River Plate. Mainly a forward, he can also operate as a winger, apparently has a buy out clause of 17 million,

I would give Maguire a 1 and that's only for managing to put his kit on and play when it's dark

Apparently Frank McAvennie said "I'm 62 and I would still fancy myself against Maguire" ????

Anyone who has been a player and then goes into management knows full well the commitment of a team can either make or break you. At the same club makes it even harder.

For OGS detractors. In his first full season took the team to 3rd place. 2nd season to second place. Factual evidence that they were progressing even he probably couldn't get the players he needed eg a decent holding midfielder. They were no where near a trophy but neither were many other big clubs, with high expectations, below them.

It soon became evident especially against Watford, where for the first time in my life I turned off the coverage, that some players were not prepared to give it their best ,so little has changed since RR took over. Nothing to do with Covid everyone is in the same boat.

RR is more than an interim coach ,that to me is just ridiculous. MU need to get off the management roundabout, get rid of players who are not on board or there is no winning future for the club.

Pogba allowed to recover in the sunshine Dubai when MU has a team of specialists ??? Fernandes now suspended as he is more intent on dissent with officials and arm waving at team.

mates.

Ronaldo deciding not to be a leader he should be and acting like a petulant Under 12, it is frankly appalling behaviour and should not be tolerated. Gary Neville has nailed it

Give RR a 2 or 3 year contract and get back to playing as a team and not a bunch of talented, but uncommitted, indiviuals.

Happy New Year to all and if 3 points are not forthcoming tonight even a Europa league place might be in doubt.

OGS didn't take the team anywhere, he just collected/capitalized on Mourinho's work and thought it was all good.... then reality hit, what did he do at Swansea

Manchester United player ratings: Scott McTominay and Luke Shaw good vs Burnley

Man United beat Burnley through goals from Scott McTominay, a Ben Mee own goal and Cristiano Ronaldo in the Premier League at Old Trafford and here are how the players rated.

Frank McAvvenie definitely fancied himself with that <deleted> hair cut.

He should come back when he's represented his country in a World Cup semi-final.

they played poorly, not controlling the game, to many bad/incompleted passes, better have Varane and LindLoff then Maguire and Bally, agree on AWB but for me Shaw has no character to be on this team, Dalot or Telles better and more completed players

Weak arguement that. George Best never got to a World Cup let alone a semi final.

Frank McAvennie was an above average striker and would have had Maguire on toast in his pomp. Aaron Lennon; way past his best; showed up his poor defending for Burnley's goal.

You're taking this a bit more seriously than I was....

.... However, if you want to go down that route.... Why did McAvennie play for a <deleted> team like West Ham? Maguire had some great seasons for Leicester and Hull and like anyone he lept at the chance to join one of the biggest clubs in the world, where he has fallen short of what's required sometimes. Maybe he could have stayed and been a big fish in a small pond like McAvvenie.

The fact is you and all the other typical small minded (and small club) English fans want to continually deride Maguire for shooting for the stars and falling short. English mentality, we love to drag down our own.

Do you think being captain is to much for him?

Id prefer he wasn't captain as then he'd be droppable. But you can't just strip someone of the captaincy without messing up the dressing room.

Not necessarily. It's just Gary Neville thinks it's messed up. And that qualifies as a news story these days.

What I will say is if you were wiping the slate clean and picking a captain now it would probably be Ronaldo. However, Maguire has it and then ain't gonna strip him. And while that is the case he will be first choice.

It would be between Ronaldo and Bruno for captain

Give him a chance!

He's not been amazing but not been that bad either. Scored a good goal in the last game.
