How to exchange Bitcoin to Baht Thai in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

I have some Bitcoin in my Bitcoin wallet address. I would like to ask that, how to exchange Bitcoin to Baht Thai in Bangkok? Is there some Website that would assist people with finding the buyers of Bitcoin in Thailand (Bangkok)?

As I don't have a bank account in Thailand, it is impossible to transfer the value of Bitcoin to some Thai bank so that I can withdraw. However, I have a Paypal account linked to a Bangkok bank's Visacard. I'm not sure how to transfer the value of Bitcoin from my wallet address (Coinbase) to my Paypal account as this function is not available in Thailand ?

Leave it for 5-10 years if you have that time left, and it might give you a fortune.

Open a bank account.

try localbitcoins.com. you can either find a local buyer and meet them or transfer to your paypal account, altho Im not sure about the paypal option, at one stage buyers were asking for refunds and getting both the btc and the refund, I guess that doesnt happen these days but might be worth a little research

with the drop in value it could be prudent to find a gold shop that will exchange them. oh whats that, which gold shop ?
the day a gold shop in thailand exchanges digital currency for physical gold i will have a serious interest in bitcoin(s).... until then imho its a long con ponzi.

Bitcoin is very liquid so what you're saying is already possible. And abroad even easier without having to cash back into fiat.

@op , if you have a Thai bank account: bx.in.th . Otherwise locally with localbitcoins.com

As others have commented here, localbitcoins is probably your best option.

Minimize your chance to get scammed by only dealing with verified buyers (you are selling bitcoin, you look for buyers), with 1000+ trades, over 2 years since verification and 100% positive feedback. But don't just look at the overall percentage, it can be misleading, take a minute to read through all the recent feedback. If anything looks fishy, stay away.

Paypal: same deal. Your bitcoin is held in localbitcoins' escrow. The buyer makes a paypal payment to your paypal account. You release the bitcoin. The risk here is of chargeback - so the importance of dealing only with reputable people is even more critical here than with say a bank transfer. And, don't trade large sums with any specific person.

Or you can post on FB groups and set a meeting to sell your bitcoin face to face for cash.

Another option: coins.co.th allows withdrawal using a "Cardless ATM" or "Bank
Cash Pickup", for relatively small amounts. No bank account required.

Seems like you already have a Thai bank account if your PP is linked to your thai card. I'm currently using Bitkub exchange to trade, withdrawal etc. They recently receive the SEC license amongst BX and satang pro.

None will allow USA customers.  I recently contacted one of the newly approved exchanges and they said they take every country EXCEPT  North Korea and the USA...Dam USA and their tax reporting laws.
