Grab from Airport

I just had a look at the CM Transit app, and from the description, the app only shows songthaews. Does it also include the bus?

It only shows busses (the larger circular icons)....all those other little circles are official bus stops.  On occasion, that app and Viabus aren't working properly and show no busses but that doesn't happen often. Neither app shows songthaews.

  • The last thing I care about after a flight, or usually in my case three flights to get back here, is a fare difference of a couple of hundred baht. All I want to do is get home as quick as possible.

  • And good luck finding a thai that can read a map

  • Why would you want to call for a Grab when the airport taxis are there in profusion and very reasonably priced? I live near Hangdong, a distance of about 12 Kilometres, and the price is usually 300! J

I arrived at CNX early December and looked at booking a Grab to Santitham.  Was about 176 baht!  So I just booked one of the airport taxis instead for 150 which was quick and easy.

Most people need more than 20 baht and patience because the bus goes nowhere near their home.

Most people? Who live in CM? That's a curious guess. You should actually look at the routes.

I've been all the way around the moat of Old City, to night bazaar, way beyond Ninmann, to immigration, and direct to Central Festival, Airport Plaza, the Maya, and Central Kad on that 20 baht bus- and easily got to where I was then going walking distance. I suppose one could take the bus as close to their destination then jump on a 30 baht red truck, if they were way out of its reach.

The footprint of the bus covers a whole lot of CM proper.
