Such a bummer to see these near 100% markups on VR headsets. I know I'll never get it for Amazon prices but was hoping it would carry say a 1000-2000 thb premium.

 

Does anyone know a cheaper option? Or is this driven by high import costs?

 

EDIT: I see it can be bought on ebay for about $310. Anyone know the chance of Thai customs putting a tax on the package?

Buy the headset on Amazon if the price difference is that huge.
On a 230$ item I doubt you will pay any import duty.
Be aware of that not all items on Amazon ships to Thailand.
Tip, if you go for it, choose standard postage, the couriers will charge import duty.
You can check the import duty when you go to checkout. 2 times I got import duties refunded after 1-2 months, on a laptop & tablet.
