Getting married in Thailand for 2 foreigners

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm italian and my partner is Chinese. We are living in Phuket and would like to get marry here. Since we are both foreigners and luckily is our first time, we need your help to know how, where, how long and which kind of documents we will need to provide.. Any helps is really appreciated!! ????

I thought this was about 'Christmas Spirit' and getting Merry (celebrating Christmas Day).

I now realize the Op is asking about getting 'Married' here in Thailand...

Boris79... Both you and your future wife will need a couple of documents from your Embassy and the relevant approved translations into Thai.

These links below may help you to get started in researching which documents you need.

I just edited the topic title to prevent further misunderstanding.

Thanks guys.. And sorry for the mistake.

So, except my passport, I don't need to request any documents in my home country? Can I do everything in Thailand?

There is the possibility, like in Italy, to separete the money into the marriage?

Anyone experience with it? How long will take do everything?

You will both need to supply a letter from your embassies that you are free to marry. It depends on your respective embassies what you will need, and if you have been married in the past.
