residency certificate police station

Featured Replies

anyone successfully gotten a residency certificate at kalasin police station? prevents a 2 hour drive to sakon nakhon immigration..

Don't know you can get it at a regular police station. In Ubon Ratchathani I get mine each time at the Tourist Police Station.

Do you have to pay, as it's free at immigration.

Not Sakhon Nakhon immigration, but Khon Kaen.

I did a TM30 (if that's what you mean by 'residency certificate') at my local police station (80 km from KK) in June last year, following return from a trip to UK. When I next went to KK immi., they accepted the police TM30 but replaced it with one of their own, dated that day rather than the date on the original. No adverse comments, no repercussions. I kept the original, BTW, just as a precaution.

That's the second time it's happened that way - previously on my last trip out of the country in 2015.

First time I paid 100 Baht, second time 200 Baht, because "a new boss was in charge".
