Insurance companies do not continue treatment after repatriation. Why would they?

Just viewed the fine print on a policy and it clearly states.. Do not apply if you do not have access to Medicare in Australia after repatriation "

When they get you back you are no longer a traveler.. Obviously

If this is the case then they probably came to the conclusion that the treantment in Thailand (for which they seem to be paying, in the news article they only wrote that they denied sending her back home) is cheaper than the travel cost to take her back home. In the end money is all they care about.

Yep, another example of the insurance mafia who will drag out legal litigation for years rather than pay up a claim. All those who think smugly that they're protected here are in for a very rude surpr

what vaccines she got before coming to thailand... sounds like guilaume barré, aka POLIO but induced by vaccines

ok, I red the whole thing.... it is barré... it is for VACCINES

but you can call me conspiracy theorist

people... google it

The most common known etiology of GuillainBarre syndrome is infectious disease notably caused by Campylobacter jejuni. A very small fraction of people can develop GuillainBarre syndrome due to vaccines and vaccinations like a meningococcal vaccine, poliovirus vaccine, influenza vaccine, and rabiesvaccine.

not that crazy after all

I am sure they are all not into it for the money , they are genuine nurses on a normal salary. Just the picture looked a bit weird to me.

Yes I'm sure they are not in it for the money but someone will be paying for them to hang around for a good photo op.

Why is it that no one have travel insurance or health insurance???

Surely they will start a go fund me page

It would be crazy to swap "a very small fraction of people" with "it is for vaccines".

Indeed and common sense. However, we are missing some important facts such as;

- Does she really have this  illness?

- Did the medical report state that she could be treated in Thailand for a period of time and then brought home?

- Did the medical assessment from the insurer indicate she did not need a  complete medievac, but could use a conventional transport method?

The news report is not complete.

The only lol will come from  those who read your ignorant comment. You have no idea as to the facts of this case and yet here you are  claiming there is an insurance mafia.  Please share with everyone your knowledge of this case that allows you to offermake your claims.  Your allegations are false and a pathetic manifestation of buffoonery.  They are also malicious.

One should appear to be better than the one that he or she is criticizing.. Perhaps you are having a bad day....

I was hoping that you would share with everyone your knowledge of this case that indicates that the insurer the best it can do, and is acting according to what is stipulated in the insurance policy. ( not the small print).

Of course, insurance companies are not there to act as Santa Claus.

except it is science and not anti vaxx propaganda but I guess, why bother looking it up, you don't have it, your wife does not get it ...so, let's go for another beer

anyway people... you are mostly brainwashed in blindly believing what media is telling you, and just call all the rest conspiracy theory
