SATTAHIP:--The Royal Thai Fleet marked its 95th anniversary at a ceremony in Sattahip.

RTF commander Adm. Noppadol Supakorn opened the Dec. 19 worship ceremony at the Prince Chumphon shrine.

A 19-gun salute was sounded before sailors joined to sing navy songs at the Sattahip Naval Base.

A Buddhist merit-making ceremony later was performed at fleet headquarters, honoring all those that died in service of their country.

Former navy commander-in-chief Adm. Naris Pratumsuwan congratulated Noppadol on the occasion.

Finally, from the deck of the HTMS Angthong, Noppadol gave the word to naval battle forces to perfectly conduct missions by being ready to respond to all threats to marine resources and national sovereignty.
