Thai immigration doubt two "Mohammads" shopping trip story

Thai Rath reported that two Malaysian men were arrested driving a car towards the Cambodian border at Klong Leuk in Sa Kaew yesterday.

Neither Mohammad Rusaini or Mohammad Yusup Yinahat, both 23, had stamps for entering Thailand in their passports.

The pair said they had crossed into Thailand at Sadao and "forgot" to get stamped in.

They told immigration officers in Aranyaprathet that they were going to buy second hand clothes in the Rong Klua market.

The Thais suspect this is just a cover story, and a poor one at that because there are plenty of second hand clothes in Bangkok they could have bought, said Thai Rath.

It looks like they were trying to get to Cambodia for whatever reason.

They have been charged with illegal entry and the credentials of the Mitsubishi car they were driving are being checked after it was seized.

Correct, but you must let a Thai negotiate for you and stay out of site.
