PATTAYA:--Nong Plalai has spent about half the money budgeted for infrastructure and economic-development projects, Mayor Pinyo Homlkin said.

Pinyo briefed the sub-district council on statistics for the many projects Jan. 2.

He said 42 management and public policy projects were budgeted for 9.4 million baht with 1.7 million spent.

Thirty-one infrastructure upgrades were approved for 25.4 million baht of which 8.9 million baht was spent.

Six economic projects worth 230,000 baht were approved with 27,000 baht spent.

There also were 28 social projects approved for 12.5 million baht but Pinyo did not disclose whether any of the money was spent.

Six environmental projects with approved budgets of 11.7 million baht saw 10.9 million baht of that spent.
