Replacing old car radio by the easiest (minimum buttons) bluetooth device ?

Recommended Posts

hello,

I am looking for the easiest bluetooth device (no interest in any other function as everything is controled by smartphone) to replace an old car radio.

I cannot find something really simple without tons of useless buttons.

Have you found something ?

thank you.

Isn't it paradoxical that if you get seen/caught making a call on your phone you can get done (in UK as well as Thailand), but you can control all your music & radio from it, via Bluetooth, and use it as your Sat Nav which possibly distracts more from your driving than a phone call.

I guess it's all down to whether you are holding the phone or not.

You dont touch the phone, it works from all those dam buttons on the steering wheel, i often chat with the Cruise Control or GPS, that Woman never listens.

You answered your own question, if your phone is hands free no problem and if you like me put your phone in a holder for GPS also no problem.

Why does he have to like you before using his phone holder?

Never figured you for a language teacher. I should have used a comma, or its English humor not sure.

and if you like me put your phone in a holder, means that i put my phone in a holder and if he does the same  there is no problem with the police.

Just explaining what i meant here as i don't know if its an attempt to humor that i missed or that you really did not understand me.

FYI -

pedantic

The nitpickery of the english language that drives the less detail oriented insane...often mistaken as a tool to impress others when in fact it is annoying

If you like me = if you do what I do.

If you drive a black Vios, and I drive a black Vios, you drive a car like me.

Can You understand Alex Ferguson?, London is easy, just ignore the F Word every sentence. Be  an Accord or Civic Turbo owner soon, had enough of GERMIM overprice. The Toyo isnt that good on Hiways power the tests say.

Just having a jest. I'm Scottish so English isn't my first language either.

Try, "...and if like me, you put your phone in a holder, ..."

No worries, I still like you.

If I had used an emoticon, would it have helped you lighten up a wee bit?

PS. Your grammar is atrocious. No emoticon intended.

$10 bucks on dhgate, probably same on alie and lazada. Seen simpler, cheaper ones around 200 baht in Tesco-Lotus autobits aisle as well.

I tried a similar device and it really wasnt very good.

So I drove to Bangkok one Sunday, had a nice lunch and then went to a Bangkok car audio dealer who fitted a very good Pioneer car stereo with BT and USB for about 6000B, which included fitting an extra dashboard USB socket and a dashcam that I bought elsewhere. I went to Bangkok because shops in Pattaya had no stock or were way overpriced.

Oh I totally agree how these things aren't the best and some are just plain rubbish. I faffed around with a couple of them in my last pickup that wasn't BT enabled. Ended up buying the gadget below from Halfords in the UK when I was home and it was  a great way to integrate streaming internet FM on a smartphone via BT with a hard-wired 'line-in' auxiliary input on the OEM music box AND enable hands-free phone use. Still in a box somewhere.
