Could someone who has experience with the Chiang Mai Hospital care to give a review of what they thought of the treatment...?

I’d be interested to compare it with others..

thanks in advance...

The one at the end of Chang Puak road on the Superhighway?

With the attached dental clinic?

I've used them, the dental clinic was a very reasonable price, and the doctors in the hospital did a good job of stitching me up. They also did a friend of mine with a broken leg (m/c accident) for a decent price.

Cheaper than RAM but with similar rooms, more expensive than NaKornPing.

I had back surgery 2 years ago at Chiangmai Ram Hospital that went bad and I ended up in ICU for 6 weeks! I had 4 operations, but only remember the 1st one. Got infection that went to my brain and had a difficult infection in my back that was hard to cure. There was also the fact that the nurses helping me out of bed to walk, dropped me maybe causing me injury. (A friend was visiting me at the time saw this and told me.) I lost maybe 2 weeks of remembering anything that had happened.

Then 2 years (last October) they came back and said I still owed 2.7 million! I paid what they asked when they released me 1.5 million. So I have a Thai friend who contacted a Thai Judge, and he said they were wrong and they have a 2 year period to collect, and after that time I was not liable to pay. So Chiangmai Ram sent me last month a letter in Thai saying I didn’t owe them anything! I need to get it translated to English to really know.

I hope this is helpful. Not meaning to scare anyone, but I do hold a lot of resentment to Chiangmai Ram Hospital for trying to overcharge me! My condition now is the same as before I went in for surgery. Extremely difficult to walk without pain. (As in any surgery anything can go wrong and at least I’m alive!) in general I feel Chiangmai Ram Hospital does offer good services.

The thread is about Chiangmai Hospital. How does any of this have anything to do with another hospital???

I agree but the OP did say he wanted to compare it with others.

I am glad he posted it though he is still in pain he probably just wants to let off some steam as his story sounds horrific.

Terrible story. I’m very sorry. Glad you’re ok..

Why I was interested in reports about Chiang Mai Hospital was partly to do with the high cost at Ram...but also the location.

i

i wondered if anyone could compare the two....service wise and price wise.

The  most important factor is...as Sheryl has said....the DOCTOR .    choose the doctor,  then look into the price that hospitals add on.  If you don't know which doctor,  seek recommendations

I can recommend one dentist at Chiang Mai Ram highly for implants, Dr Thacharot Boonyapakorn. Highly skilled, excellent English, gentle, all the right stuff.

But I do have a question about CMR's pricing.

Beginning to suspect that fees for farangs are higher than what they charge Thais.

Anyone have clues?

Thanks,

DS

That is great to know ... I mean that is a bad thing to know. However as the OP is not asking about this maybe you might find another forum to post it in.

BTW I got some work done at BKK hospital here, want to hear about it? NO??

No Excrement !!!   ????
