Transferring money in for a condo - online teaching salary in USD

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I recently booked a unit for offplan property.

So now I have to save up some money until the project is complete (around Feb next year)

To help with this I'm going to do some online teaching and I understand that the Chinese companies will pay your salary in USD.

Is it possible to obtain FETs for these payments so I can use it to pay for the deposit and final payment?

Thanks

Yes, as long as the incoming transfer is not in Baht. But each transfer means one more form which may be a little tedious.

Assuming that this is supplementary income-then I suggest that you open a bank account-in Thailand- just for this new income.

Money in a  US Dollar account is acceptable(as a means to obtain a FET)-providing the Dollar account is with  a bank in Thailand.

Obviously this money (now converted to  Thai Baht) will be spent prior to obtaining the FET. Evidence of the money coming in is all that counts.

This said I suggest that you  speak with your bank
