Thai Police Arrest Three Foreign Nationals in Major Drug Bust
Picture courtesy of KhaoSod In a significant crackdown on illegal drug activities, Thai police apprehended three foreign nationals accused of selling processed cannabis and ketamine, seizing over 300 kilogrammes of evidence. The operation was led by Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, Commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, with involvement from Police Major General Noppasil Poolasawat. The suspects, identified as Le Quy Phuc, Nguyen Van Viet, and Mai Hung, were arrested on April 9 following a thorough investigation prompted by an informant's tip-off. The evidence seized included 305.2 kilogrammes of dried cannabis flowers and 450 grammes of ketamine. The cannabis was discovered packaged in plastic bags across two floors of a residence in Chok Chai 4, Bangkok, while the ketamine was concealed in a suspect's underwear. Police Colonel Santi Kornkasem and crime suppression officers carried out the successful raid after securing a search warrant from the Criminal Court. The operation revealed that the trio was involved in illegal activities, leading to their arrest. The suspects face multiple charges, including violating laws related to the handling and sale of controlled herbs for commercial purposes, as well as working without a permit or outside the legal boundaries established for foreign nationals. They are also charged with unauthorized possession of ketamine, a category two narcotic. All suspects and confiscated materials have been transferred to the Crime Suppression Division for further legal proceedings. This bust highlights the ongoing efforts of Thai authorities to combat illegal drug trafficking and ensure compliance with the nation's drug laws, reported The Thaiger. -- 2025-04-10 -

Trump administration admits man was deported to El Salvador mega prison due to 'error'
Torturing people is a crime. If the government of El Salvador is torturing people in the supermax there, they're criminals. If they're criminals, they're colluding with another criminal convicted of 34 felonies. What a coincidence. 🥹 -

Gaza Paramedics Shot ‘With Intent to Kill,’ Red Crescent Demands International Probe
Of course they are the killer. But they aren't responsible for the death. Much like when a hostage is tragically killed in a robbery or kidnapping. The robber or kidnapper is responsible, even though they did not pull the trigger themselves. Hamas is the same. THEY are the ones who put civilians in needless danger. They are responsible for what happens. -
