Best C Band Satellite in SEA?

Featured Replies

I have a spare C band satellite TV system. Beside Thai satellites, which sat would you point your dish at?

I don't want to pay for any service and I am not a sports guy. Any English language news would be a plus.

I am a amateur radio operator with a interest in monitoring radio spectrum, so it is the journey, not the destination.

Thanks.

The one with the Korean Prown channels ? [emoji12]

Free TV, English, News...

The ice is thin.

It's long that I dealt with Sat TV.

My 6 foot dish stands on a pole in the yard, silently rusting.

Some time ago I moved it to AsiaSat7

and checked that it works.

After that receiver back to the cabinet.

More like a last resort before the world comes to an end

On Lyngsat you can browse through FreeTV Asia.

An straining job as there is no filter for English language.

What size is your dish?

Silly enough BBC World has moved to an Australian focused satellite.

Would need an 8 foot dish and a very low position.

You can also browse through FreeTV from other countries from Europe, North America etc.

If you find an EIRP valued in the upper 30s it might be doable.

BUT don't expect too much.

THE channels with the most global coverage are the missionaries
