CHIANG RAI, 22 February 2018 (NNT) – Chiang Rai Provincial Office of Land Transport has enhanced passenger safety measures for public transports.

Chiang Rai Deputy Governor Phasadate Hongladarom presided over the opening ceremony of the Hero Driver @ Zero Accident project at Chiang Rai Grand Room Hotel, Muang Chiang Rai district, in accordance with the Department of Land Transport (DLT)’s policy which places importance on enhancing safety of public transports.

Chiang Rai Provincial Office of Land Transport has organized training for public transport drivers in order to instill service mind in them so that they will be the Hero Driver for passengers.

The project is also another way to solve and prevent road accidents that might occur from public transports.

The driver in the photo must have failed. He hit only two of the available six "pedestrians".

One of the 'pedestrians' admitted liability, as they had been run over before.

I've just invented plagiarism.

Or, to put it a another way, we both have a good memory for Jasper Carrott sketches!

The first hero at the red light will have the new invention of brakes fitted for free????

When public transport drivers stop overtaking on blind curves I will start believing this tosh.

Free helmets for passengers?

Whew, for a minute I thought they were going to do something sensible, like require seat belts in songtaos. *

* Don't laugh, could save lives in the event of an accident.
