I had read about the immigration lanes in Suvarnabhumi that are designated for Chinese. Made me, almost, wish I were Chinese.

So I was surprised when I was leaving the country and was told to use a Chinese lane.

Good thinking by immigration to let others use the lanes when there are not that many Chinese. Or is it all the time now?

When I was leaving through Chiang Mai, they told me to move over to the air crew lane, as it was empty.

When I was leaving pattaya they told me to use the sexpat lane

There is always a chance that a helper/officer dispatches people to unmanned desks.

Of course they will avoid crowding the "premium" counters.

Not many Chinese?

This thread gives me hope

When I asked an attendant whether there was a special counter for an older adult, she said "No".

Does anyone know of one?

I believe if you are over 70 you can use the premium lanes on arrival at Bangkok I guess it's the same for departures.

Yes, I used the Premium Lane on Arrival but don't know where it might be for departure. And the attendants didn't know and didn't care.
