Hi All, the air was let out of my low profile tyre, 255/30/19, the wall is now cracked, does this make the tyre unsafe to use, still has plenty of tread.

Thank you in anticipation.

Regards

Tom

Black boot polish will fill the cracks and make it look brand new

Please take that as a joke, just in case you thought about it.......

All that keeps your vehicle on the road is 2 - or 4 - small rubber contact patches.

Why risk your life - and your passengers lives - with crap

Not 100% - replace

Tires take quite a beating Are they showing cracks on both sides inside and outside of just the outside. How old are they?

There are cracks and then there are cracks.

The outside of the sidewall is simply a sealing layer to keep the elements away from the inner (structural) part of the tire—in other words, those unsightly cracks are purely cosmetic.

Yes.

Also better check the other 3 if all 4 had been bought together.

I read that the air was let out of one of his tyres.

I can't remember what car this guy has got ...think it could be a BM in which case they would be run flats.

Best to bin that tyre as who knows what has happened to the steel belts ...

Hi All, thank you for the info, the cracks are only superfisial, will change all 4 tyres.

Thank you.

Tom

Better safe than sorry.

I do not take any chances with tires - not worth the risk.

Save 10,000 baht - spend 250,000 in the hospital - or 25,000 for a casket.
