A 36 year old woman who took a drug overdose in an apparent suicide attempt was saved by quick thinking police.

Netizens said that the Plaeng Yao police actions were heroic.

Capt Khajornsak Thalerngpong and his partner Pol Corp Yuthana Suramon responded to a call that a woman had taken an overdose in a second floor room in a five story block in Gateway City at the industrial estate in Chachoengsao.

The front door was locked so the cops asked neighbors if they could gain access to the rear.

Then Corporal Yuthan climbed along the ledge and got to the rear balcony. It was also locked but he smashed the glass.

Lying on the bed unconscious was a 36 year old factory worker. There were pills lying about and she had clearly taken many of them.

Captain Khajornsak carried the lady out to a squad car and they got her to hospital.

Her life was saved after her stomach was pumped.

The reason for the suicide attempt is not yet known, reported Daily News.
