Reply to Naambar: Farangs in Thailand, expats and tourists, are treated the same way Jews were treated in Nazi Germany and occupied countries 75 years ago: report all movement, get permits for everything, police and immigration visits and inspections, numerous fines. But Thais ignore history, completely, and they don't realize how their behavior is a copy of the worst Gestapo/Stasi states. If it were not for the fact that Westerners' faces are so different from Thai faces, expats and tourists would be forced to wear a big "F" on their clothes for "farang", the size of a Star of David. Thai officials don't  have the slighest idea of the extent to which they police visitors and permanent residents, while allowing the worst corruption practives for their own citizens. Xenophobia? Most definitely. But also paranoia, greed, face-saving, immaturity, ignorance, and plain stupidity.

Well, you don't need to back long. Trump is a very close copy to Stasi..... look at all what he says and does since 2016....

The Jesuits are big in Udon Thani. Run dozens of schools, and have lots of places of worship.
