listen to an old Thai song called “Kilet Manoot” which, he said, fits the current political situation as politicians squabble over cabinet seats.

no doubt it fits the current political situation, ...

however it fits also the permanent military culture with squabbling, ass-kissing, favoritism, and however else these "Generals" jockey for positions, postings and promotions..., doesn't it Army Commander-in-Chief General Apirat Kongsompong (I'm sure you continue to have your very own experiences with this matter in your long and illustrious career.)  :kiss01:

First it was "scum of the earth" and now "human defilement". Not looking forward to his extended playlist...

Unfortunately Apirat (Sulu) has not heard of General Order 1, otherwise known as the Non Interference Directive - Also the Prime Directive.

This is not going to end well if he decides to have a hissy fit, he is not a nice piece of work and that is putting it mildly, if this all kicks off which it may well do, then I hope that the Thai people have a backbone and rid this country of the military influence for good.

Perhaps it is going to take the experience of being under Apirat's boot instead of Prayuth's to finally arouse the masses. Sometimes good can come from bad, time will tell.

Pity help Thailand if this army strongman ever gets control which could be any time in the near future.

His father was a previous coup leader so it is in his genes and ambitions.

Correction, his father was a ruthless and violent previous coup leader who was well involved in 200 young unarmed Thai being shot down during the Suchinda episode. And the 200 bodies quickly whisked away and never found to this day.

And how much money did he and his aides and acquaintances pay for their positions? And much money do they demand from other officers competing  for promotion?

Mob of bloody hypocrites all of them vying for the filthy lucre.

Doesn't he know that when he points at others, there are three fingers pointing back?

The only honest people in this country are the school students who made the Wai Khru flower arrangements that so upset the establishment.

This army chief should realise that his overtly fascist and arrogant views are not wanted and should zip-his-lip as he is a PR disaster for the government and army.
